Next to any other feature in a backyard living space, a custom outdoor kitchen usually steals the show. However, this project in Hayward, CA was a little bit different. The outdoor fireplace may look just like any other stone fireplace, but there’s more to it than meets the eye. Each individual stone was cut by hand and placed. The best part was that the stone design matches the landscaping that was already in the backyard.
The outdoor kitchen still deserves some recognition, though. Built into the corner of the pergola, it provides a perimeter to an otherwise open outdoor space. We also love the addition of the twin-tap Kegerator. Nothing says outdoor entertaining like a tap just a few feet away from a fireplace.
