Possibly one of the most colorful kitchens we’ve ever built, this blue, white and gray island in San Mateo, CA, looked stunning against the Lo family’s gray home. The textures of the stone only added to the elegant design, and the three windows behind the kitchen made for a nice backdrop that completed the space.
The Lo family opted for a freestanding grill rather than having it built into their kitchen island. This was a great design decision practically because not only did it provide flexibility for moving the grill around their patio, but it also keeps the windows of their home from getting covered in smoke and grease.
